18 Hole, 5711m course with greens in magnificent condition, superb gently undulating layout with generous natural couch fairways lined with native trees.

Lightly bunkered with some water hazards to negotiate. Very picturesque course with views of Wilsons Promontory.

History of Foster Golf Club

The inaugural meeting of the Foster Golf Club was held in the lodge room of the Mechanics Institute on May 28th 1924. Opening day of the original nine hole course was held on the Kings Birthday, June 11th 1924.
 
The year 1925 the members made a vital decision to move the course to its present site. On the 31st March 1928 an open day competition held for the first time on the new course. A club house was built in October 1930 and was erected on a site in front of the present 11th Green.
 
In 1960 the committee sanctioned the works to proceed with northern nine holes of the new eighteen hole layout. On February 22nd 1962 the 18 hole course was completed and at this time the first full time greens keeper was employed.

The club has seen significant growth since this time with numerous regular events including the Foster Week of Golf and the South Gippsland Golf Classic.

Annual Tournament. The club will hold its 2010 'Week of Golf' commencing on Wednesday 10th March and conclude on Sunday 11th March. Visitors are most welcome.
